The short version: We collect your email and intake questionnaire answers to run the service. We do not sell your data. We do not use your data to train AI models. You can delete your data at any time by emailing us.
1. Who We Are
PromptSharp ("we," "us," "our") operates the PromptSharp website and AI workflow generation service at promptsharp.ai. For privacy inquiries, contact us at hello@promptsharp.ai.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Email address: Collected when you sign up for free access, subscribe to Pro, or contact support.
- Intake questionnaire responses: The 8 expert questions you answer to generate your workflow chains. These include role, industry, goals, constraints, and AI model preferences.
- Payment information: Billing is handled entirely by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full card details. We receive a Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
- Support communications: Any emails or messages you send to our support team.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data: Pages visited, features used, time spent, referring URLs. Collected via server logs and lightweight analytics.
- Device information: Browser type, operating system, screen resolution, IP address (truncated to the subnet level).
- Cookies: Session cookies necessary for site functionality. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Generate your personalized AI workflow chains based on your intake answers
- Manage your account and subscription
- Send transactional emails (receipt, subscription confirmation, workflow delivery, model update notifications)
- Send occasional product updates and new workflow pack announcements (you may opt out at any time)
- Improve the Service by analyzing anonymized, aggregated usage patterns
- Respond to support requests
- Prevent fraud and maintain security
4. What We Do NOT Do
- We do not sell, rent, or license your personal data to third parties
- We do not use your intake questionnaire responses to train AI models
- We do not share your individual data with advertisers
- We do not build advertising profiles about you
- We do not engage in cross-site tracking
5. Data Sharing
We share data only with the following categories of service providers, and only as necessary to operate the Service:
- Stripe, Inc.: Payment processing. Stripe Privacy Policy
- Email delivery provider: For sending transactional and product emails.
- Cloudflare, Inc.: Website hosting and security. Cloudflare Privacy Policy
All service providers are contractually bound to process your data only as directed by us and in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, we retain your account record for 90 days to facilitate reinstatement, after which personal data is deleted or anonymized. Intake questionnaire responses are retained for 12 months after your last use to enable workflow maintenance and updates, after which they are deleted or anonymized.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
- Portability: Request your data in a portable format
- Opt-out of marketing: Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email

8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. 9. European Users (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal data under the following lawful bases: contractual necessity (to deliver the Service), legitimate interests (service improvement, fraud prevention), and consent (marketing emails). You have all rights described in Section 7 above, plus the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
10. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, access controls limiting employee access to personal data, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable precautions to protect your information.
11. Children's Privacy
PromptSharp is not directed to children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, contact us at hello@promptsharp.ai and we will delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email and update the "Last Updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
